Our Group Company, Enviren is looking for a Civil Engineer.  Reporting the to the  Company Director and Head of Civil and Environmental Engineering , Zak Simmonds, this job will be ideally based in or around Bristol to enable hybrid work at the Bristol Office.  

The successful candidate will join our growing team of industry leading professionals providing advice on water quality, quantity and flood risk. Main purposes of job

  1.  Undertake Flood Risk Assessments
  2. Undertake Drainage Strategies
  3. Undertake Nutrient Assessments

Key tasks

  1.  Undertake hydraulic modelling of proposed developments.
  2. Analyse latest government guidance and utilise industry best practice to design intelligent and functional drainage strategies and flood risk mitigation strategies.
  3. Review water quality information and provide necessary mitigation strategies.

Key results/objectives

  1. Ensure that development is kept safe from flooding.
  2. Help applicants for planning achieve planning approval through well designed drainage networks.
  3. Ensure that water quality does not deteriorate in the wider water network through well designed onsite drainage systems.

Skills/Experience /Education

The successful candidate will be expected to have a functioning   knowledge of drainage design and flood risk guidance and be able to use the   following software:

  1. MicroDrainage (or similar)
  2. AutoCAD

The successful candidate is expected to have at least two years’   experience in drainage design, utilising MicroDrainage preferably, and have   good AutoCAD skills.

The candidate should have a minimum of a BSc in Civil   Engineering (or similar related degree) with a 2:2 or higher.
